On eBay, starting at .99c!: [link]

My latest mold, a 8.5" long equine body. The wings are from my gryphon wing mold (for information click here: [link]) The body was sculpted in wax and I was convinced the whole project was cursed, as I gave my finger a nasty slice while cutting the wax (click here for gross picture!: [link]) and also had the mold box collapse (ever seen what 4lbs of silicone oozing all over your desk and hands looks like?) This followed by three casts that came out with two and three legs (before I realized I was filling the wrong opening)
But through the trials and tribble-ations the thing came out alright in the end. I believe my finger has been permanently damaged though, I've lost most sensation in it so it feels like it's constantly asleep. There is blood on this sculpture (and on the wax master sculpture, that is VERY literal.)

His hair is real horse hair mixed with viscose, the horse hair is the last of a bundle generously given to me many years ago by :icontser:
thanks!

Oh I hope I win ;)
So was this like the same as a lost wax casting? I've done that before in jewelry and metal sculpture but not in resin. Amazing as always
sorry about your finger too ouch

woah, I'd go to your doctor before the damage does go permanent D: Each little cut adds up over the years, and you may need that finger to feel in the future  Take care

On the other hand, this is my favorite little horse/uni sculpt you've done thus far. The real horse hair really makes this one shine. I hope it goes to a wonderful caring home

It happened friday before last, and the wound has since closed up (though it's still painful, though numb!)

Thanks, I'm glad you like it!

Good luck!
No, this isn't a lost wax process, I simply use a soft microcrystalline wax (victory brown) in lieu of clay. I have a photo of the original after it came out of the mold, I'll upload it at some point!
